Hi - I’ve seen a few posts from last year relating to the Sonos ace mic issues on video calls when using MacOS.

I’m having the same problem- are there timelines on the fix?

What did Sonos Support say, when you called in?


I have the same problem. I contacted the support and they basically recognized there's a problem on the microphone, but they cannot predict when this is going to be solved.
Their answer was basically to keep an eye on the release notes (very unsatisfactory outcome from their support, in my experience): https://support.sonos.com/en/article/release-notes-sonos-app-updates

The way how I personally have been mitigating the problem is no longer using the headphone mic and instead using the one from my Mac.

It's very frustrating paying such huge amount of money for an earphone and not being able to do such a basic thing with them: calls.

Also, their support team have been closing all the posts here in this forum about the topic where people reported the issue. I guess so people stop to complain about it in the comments.


Odd, the only ‘closed’ topics I’ve seen are the automated closing, after a length of time with no activity. Can you please point to these topics that Sonos has closed to stop people from complaining?

I don’t use the mic on my Sonos Ace, so I have no solution, which is why I am interested in hearing what Support said. Especially as this is a community site, and not a direct method to connect with Sonos Support .
