Does anyone know if the fact that I can only connect my Sonos Ace to 2 bluetooth devices a physical limitation or a software limitation? Asking because if it is software, it would really be nice to be able to connect to more than 2. I currently connect it to my PC and my Phone, but would be nice to connect to my tablet at the same time without having to kill one of the connections.

It’s more software related or rather Bandwidth required by each device. In theory BT 5.0 can support up to 7 device connections simultaneously. Most headphones limit simultaneous connections to two. Audio quality due to bandwidth requirements would most likely suffer beyond that especially with FLAC and ALAC files.
