Compatible wireless headphones.

I’m looking to get a set of Bluetooth headphones. I can’t justify buying the new Sonos ones so my question is are all Bluetooth’ phones compatible with my Sonos system which consists of , Beam,Port,Mini Woofer and two One SL surround speakers?

Sonos doesn’t transmit Bluetooth audio directly at all. Connect a suitable third party transmitter to your Port.

What make/model are your headphones? The FiiO is a bit pricey. There may be more economical transmitter options.

I haven’t settled on a make yet, I wanted to know that I could use any make of BT ‘phones with my system before splashing out on a set.

Once you’ve selected a headphone then look for a BT transmitter compatible with its audio codecs, ideally one that can accept a digital input.

Just a thought, if you have an old Sonos Connect, at least gen 2, you can then connect an optical connection to the transmitter. Enabled me to set up Ace as a room, and play anything, any way I want.

Apologies for the late reply. I’ve got everything sorted now, a great little BT transmitter and a set of Sony headphones. Everything works and sounds great.
