Question

Ace Ultra: Access the settings while TV audio swap

I contacted the support and got two different answers.

For using TV audio swap with a Arc, I have to switch off or disconnected the Ace from Bluetooth on my phone. If not, the Ace will not switch to the Wifi.

That is inconvenient but i get it.

But now I can’t see the Ace in the Sonos App, it says “ headphones not found “.

If that normal or an error? Should i see the ace ultra in the app while connected to the arc? How can I change settings now? Or see the battery life?

From the Sonos support, i got two different answers. One said yes, the other said it’s normal.

 Thanks

You do not turn off or disconnect the Ace Ultra from Bluetooth on your phone. While using Bluetooth, you can use the Sonos app to TV Audio Swap. Or use the Content Key. While swapped, the Ace Ultra are using the soundbar’s wifi. But they are still shown and available in the sonos app. Use the app, or content key, to swap back. The Ace Ultra will reconnect to the phone’s bluetooth. All done automatically.

Thanks for answering.

When connected to Bluetooth, the tv audio swap doesn’t work, pressing the content button on the ace has no effect

Sonos support told me, the ace has to be in Wifi mode (white LED) to support TV audio swap

The information you received is wrong or misleading. The Ace Ultra changes from bluetooth to using the wifi from your Arc automatically when you initiate TV Audio Swap. Can you see the Ace Ultra in the Sonos app when connected to your phone with Bluetooth? Have you done the setup for TV Audio Swap in the app? Can you see the TV Swap button in the app? Are you able to TV Audio Swap using that Swap button shown in the app?

Please see the support article I linked to above which explains how to do it. Make sure you haven’t turned off the Arc’s wifi, it needs to be on.

Edit: If you have added the Ace Ultra to your TV Audio Swap setup for the Arc, try removing them from the swap setup and adding them back again. See if that helps.
