Question

Wrong Song playing Sonos 1 + google mini + YouTube music

Hey everyone
I recently upgraded my mini to Gemini and Sonos has been playing completely different song when I play it through google mini
My set up is Sonos 1 + google mini + Gemini.
I will ask mini " Hey google play A song" and Google mini will respond with " Playing A song on this sonos" but what is playing on sonos is completely different song that i asked.
I have tried rebooting mini and sonos . I have removed and readdded YT music and nothing works . It happens  on ALL my sonos controlled by google mini. This ONLY happens after i upgraded to Gemini

is anyone having the same issue or find any solution ?

Thanks

We are experiencing the same issue. We have a Nest Hub (7" screen) in our Kitchen that defaults to playing music on a Era 300, but we also use it to control all the speakers throughout the house. After the Nest Hub was updated to Gemini, whatever song or music we ask for just results in random music playing. We use YouTube Music as the default streaming service.

same issue. removing google assistant from my sonos arc and adding it back with the google assistant app seems to have partially fixed it.

it works if the command is picked up by the sonos arc. does not work if it’s picked up by a google home device.

If I use Spotify as my default service (with subscription) instead of YouTube music, then everything works.

I have been unable to find a solution this issue. So, I have abandoned Gemini and created a new home in Google Home, which starts out as Google assistant. I am resetting and/or reconnecting every device in the house to the new home. It works properly again. When will Sonos and Google stop acting like The Real Housewives of Home Automation?  I have more important things to do.

I just tried this again today on a whim and it worked, fyi. Seems they've fixed the glitch.
