Sonos Working w/ Google Asst., but cannot add to my Google All-Room speaker group.

Will Sonos ever allow my Sonos Speakers to be added to my Google Home Speaker Group? I have my Sonos One speakers in my bedroom working with google assistant, and able to play my Spotify play lists through google assistant commands, and that is a huge improvement. However, I have all my other sound systems in the whole house working together through a google home speaker group I named “All Rooms” - EXCEPT SONOS. I cannot add them to my speaker groups in the Google Home app. If this is a marketing decision, I think it will backfire, since apparently the other companies are allowing it. I hope there is either a trick I am missing, or otherwise a software patch will correct it. Ideas?

Yeah I have 30 days to return these speakers so I’m going to wait a couple of weeks incase something changes but not being able to group on google assistant as a feature is a show stopper for me. I want to group on google and also in sonas app depending on situation

sadly i am in the same boat but as I purchased mine form Argos they will not refund me as I had broken the seal on the box. last tine I will shop with them!!  speaking to Sonos today they  say it is Google who are not allowing their speakers to be added to a google home group. So like you are very keen for this to be sorted

It’s unacceptable that it’s been 4 months and this hasn’t been addressed yet.  Feels like it should be a basic feature.

Not that has been mentioned, the speakers from different manufacturers do not “normally” play together in the way you may expect… it’s the same with Google/Amazon speakers for example. So if you prefer the google devices then just return your Sonos. I personally use both types of speaker… er ...and one or two Alexa Echo devices too, as I find there are some benefits with all the different products. It’s your choice though, obviously.

Thanks for the fast reply, for me it just make no sense to have 2 set of speaker in the same room with google assistant... (one for multiroom listening and one only for my listening pleasure...) i will saddly return them and search for something else...

Sonos you can make it happen. If you don’t the Google AMP and a larger 5 speaker system will start to make buying future sonos equipment harder to justify because for me at least integration is valued more than one software feature which google could build into their speakers. I hope you can make it happen!

Google users: Hey Sonos, what if you worked together with Google to integrate this wonderful feature so more google ecosystem users will buy your product, and Google why dont you do the same with Sonos and maybe get more users in general?

I doubt that Sonos has any intention of integrating the Sonos system with another ecosystem (or ecosystems).

Sonos has added (multi platform) voice control to its fully integrated multiroom system. I'd be amazed if integration took a different path.
