Why are all the topics closed for further discussion?

I would like to share some tips on some hardware issues I have faced, and seek clarification for some instructions posted by Sonos.  But every single discussion thread seems to be closed… what’s with that???

Legitimate Topics are closed for two reasons:

  1. Inactivity for I believe 12 months or maybe it’s 6 months
  2. The post became so argumentative that it spilled over into bullying and/or insults

That said why not explain your issue and maybe we can help. Also, sometimes posts that should be aligned with #1 above slip through and remain active.

That’s a good question.  Often a topic closes before there is any resolution to the subject of the topic.  That is if the topic involves an issue.  I think topics are closed when the activity dries up.

In every case I’ve seen where a forum moderator (human) has closed a topic, there has been an explanation why. No explanations are given when the system (computer based) closes a thread due to inactivity.

If you wish to continue a closed, based on time, topic just put a link to it in your post.

Don't continue a moderator closed topic.
