I want to upgrade but it’s only giving me a 15% , but I actually have 3 eligible products , am I doing something wrong ?

Each product gives you an opportunity. But it’s not a cumulative thing. If you use the discount from one product you can, for example, get a home theatre set. You’ll still then have two eligible products for future purchases.

So max is 15% per purchase ?
thanks

Yes. It’s not a cumulative thing.

Ok great thanks , that’s annoying you would think they would offer at least a 30% discount just for loyalty alone

What length of ownership do you think should qualify for 30%? When does it go to 50%? What about early adopters with 20 years’ ownership - does Sonos pay them to use more product?

Sounds good to me. I don’t know , you spend a lot of money with these companies , sometimes feel that it would be nice to get something back , had Sonos for 10 years but have been loyal , it’s a great product

You must have had previous upgrade credits then? The One is the oldest product you own, and it was released in 2017. Older products may well have had a higher trade-in value: I seem to remember 30% being offered, but I might be wrong.

Heh. Toyota and Chevrolet should have been paying me to drive their cars. Various restaurants should be paying me to eat their food. Apple should at least be giving me computers, iPhones and iPads for free.

You might be better off paying full price for a new product and selling the old products privately. I upgraded all my Play:1s for Ones a few years ago on Amazon Prime Day and each speaker only cost me about £15 taking into account the money I got selling my Play:1s.
So don’t necessarily be tempted by Sonos’ discount. That will rarely be the current market value of the speaker you are trading in.

(You wouldn’t accept a 15% discount at a car garage in exchange for your current car…)

But it's not an exchange, you still keep or sell the old product. So there is no loss to taking the upgrade discount. You could have used the discount and still sold your speakers and saved the extra 15.

The upgrade program just recognises age of eligible product. You don’t return anything - put it in another room or sell privately.

Ah okay, I thought previously they made the speaker not work any more and you needed to return it for the discount..??

Luckily it was Amazon Prime Day so the discount on the Ones was around 30%. Otherwise, yes, I’d be kicking myself!

I think I have only bought one Sonos item full price, a play 1. The others were second hand, returns or upgrade discount. Cex and others usually have a few will priced units in good condition.
