Reached our vacation home 2 days ago where we loved listening to music and relaxing. For the past 2 days on both Android and iOS platforms, the app refuses to play any of our favorite stations. Just get the circle of death on the play button. So disappointed I had invested so heavily in Sonos products.
If you want help, more information is needed. Are your speakers and the app updated?
Â
By the way, the app is just a remote to the speakers - itâs the speakers that fetch the music from itâs source. But indeed for a lot of people the app canât work with the speaker really well at the moment. Did you try to use the web app? https://play.sonos.com/en-us/web-app
So basically, the App is now worthless? I've updated the App, but didn't bring a laptop with me to login with the browser... I tried to access the app via Mobile Browser on my phone, but Sonos says it's not supported.
Â
Sonos had really good products when I started buying into their platform 6yrs ago. Looks like they're E-Waste now.
Since we still donât have any basic information about the setup, more guessing is necessary. Have you tried wiring one Sonos device to your router with an Ethernet cable? What plugin were you using before to listen to radio stations? There are probably somewhere near a dozen possibilities, from Sonos radio HD to any of various other âpluginsâ. What router are you using? Have you tried a network refresh by unplugging your Sonos, then rebooting your router before plugging the Sonos back in? Which version of the Sonos OS are you using, S1 or S2? Which versions of the OS are you running on your iOS and Android devices?
Your conclusions seem off base to me. The suggestion to try the web browser was a test to see if, with the lack of provided information, the community might learn something. AsÂ

You wonât need a laptop. You need to access the Desktop page version of play.sonos.com on mobile. But note that itâs a stripped down version so you canât change settings but can control music.Â
On iPhone Iâve done this:Â
1. Using Safari, login at play.sonos.com and save login info to iCloud
2. Once the page opens, tap Aa on address bar and from menu select Website Settings >  Request Desktop Website. Tap Done.  (This will load that website as the required desktop version in the future.)
3. Tap on Share icon and tap Add to Home Screen. Give the icon a name.Â
4. Start controlling Sonos using that Home Screen icon. (Log in if asked, Safari should ask whether to use the stored login info.)Â
Turn iPhone landscape to see a better view.
Chrome doesnât have web site specific mobile/desktop view setting so I use Safari. Chrome has a global setting for desktop view or alternatively need to always select from the menu to open the page in desktop view.
Â
When you say âfavorite stationsâ: what are these - Sonos Radio stations? Were they old Sonos favorites? (I needed to re-do my TuneIn favorites but then I added âmyTuner Radioâ service in Sonos app and now use that instead). Stations from some music service? Does none of the music services play music? Â
