I just wiped out months and months of a specialized play-list by listening to a useful idiot L1 technical support ding dong doing a hard-reset.  Play-list is gone and this is the answer to Sonos self-inflicting the update to their app months ago where they brought everyone to their knees?  This is so wrong and I’m so upset right now as it would appear that when one does a hard-reset, everything related to your saved Sonos play-list is gone!  I’ve escalated to an L3/L4 to hopefully recover, but it sound like I’m screwed!!  Thank you Sonos for not helping!!

If you only have a single Sonos device then unfortunately resetting the device deletes all of your system settings, playlists, and music services - in effect your entire Sonos system.  Sorry but I don’t think your system is recoverable as the data is stored on each device in your setup.

The factory reset FAQ is clear about the consequences. Sadly the factory reset instructions do not include those warnings. Plus Support should know this.

As UKMedia says if this was your only Sonos device then your playlists are gone.

Thank you all for your responses … I was stuck with an L1 useful eater whom did not disclose this one little critical point.  Many many months of saving and creating a playlist right down the drain.  Thank you again Sonos … complete amateur hour!!  And really upset!!
