Sonos is hot trash 🗑️🔥

It matters not at all what I do, a year ago I spent multiple nights on calls with techs: these speakers - for the thousands of dollars I’ve spent - are, and I mean this without reservation, HOT TRASH.

Sub, two bars (Beam and Arc Ultra), play 5, One x2 (diff gens), Move, Roam, Sub 4. And literally none are ever synced, working as expected, etc.

I’ve updated router, updated internet, reset everything a dozen times, it is simply impossible for them to EVER work together properly.

It’s a shame because nobody is in here BEFORE they buy into this crap infrastructure. And there are loads of others complaining in here constantly.

Seriously Sonos. Shame on you. If I ran my business this way I would be out of a job.

At current, my app - on a network that hasn’t changed in a  year +  - currently says I have ZERO Sonos products. I have 8. Not one is showing up. Brillllllliant.

@MMacM, If you'd like help, please answer the following questions:

  1. What type of router do you use?
  2. Do you have a Wi-Fi mesh setup, access points, Wi-Fi extenders or powerline adapters, network switches, and if so, what models are they?
  3. Do you connect Sonos via Wi-Fi, or is a Sonos product wired to the router or a network switch?

Avoid SONOS Factory Reset without further consult.

If the models listed in your Profile are correct, I suggest that you power down the PLAY:5 Gen1 as you work through this issue.

Yet somehow many thousands of users have their Sonos systems working well.

If you just wanted to rant that is fine, if you want help someone here can likely help.

If nothing else, the used market for Sonos gear is strong.
