Like many of you, I’ve given up complaining about the new app.

Even simple tasks like muting the system for a phone call are so troublesome that I simply turn the system off during the day. I listen to less music and talk shows. Our investment in Sonos speakers has been seriously degraded.

Instead of apologizing and reverting to the original highly functional app, Sonos insults us with happy talk about how proud they are of the app.

So what’s really going on inside the company and what’s the future of our investments?

In the months before the app was rolled out insiders were selling their shares.  It’s been reported that insiders sold shares 16 times so far this year. None have purchased shares. Its appears that they saw what was coming.

Sonos share price has declined steadily since the rollout, and the financial/tech press is catching on to this failure.

Sonos BoD needs to wake up.

If Sonos were a bank, and they relied on this new App to do most of their customer business they would be reported to regulators and most likely out if business.
But they do not care at all about how bad the App is, because it is not where they make their money. They make their money by selling their range of  speakers. :(

This whole shambles is an absolute disgrace that isn’t getting recognised for huge corporate failure that it truely  is.

An “update” was apparently pushed to my system that broke SiriusXm. It will pay for 2-4 min then turn off. The Support button on the app shows that SiriusXm is “operational”. At this point, that’s insulting.

The issue is not my Siriusxm account. It’s up to date and plays on my cell phone on the same WiFi system that feeds my Sonos system.

It’s not my WiFi. The signal strength is strong:. -50 db in most of my house and -65 in the most remote areas. Resetting it does not correct the problem.

Question: has anyone researched an alternative to Sonos??
