Took the app update 80.14.07- ( and firmware 16.5 ). Tried to load a Music Library playlist to the queue. Using Add to End of Queue which immediately failed with the error Unable to add to queue. So I tried Replace Queue which started play very quickly. When I looked at the queue it was flashing violently and continuously adding the Music Library playlist over and over until it reached 47628 tracks at which point it stopped. queue is broken!
did not try this with any services. That flashing queue is scary.

Tried it with an Apple Music playlist. Using Add to End of Queue worked but was very slow and still generated the error Unable to add to queue. Using Replace Queue still did the flashing while adding the playlist over and over again.
The one thing that should have been fixed was not. Why does the queue still default to the first page when opened regardless of what track is playing. The queue needs to follow the music progression.
The queue usability just got worse.
Update:
It seems only the playlists in my Music Library load into the queue a ridiculous number of times. My Cello Concertos playlist loaded into the queue 126 times giving me a final track count of 47,628. Not a one-off. I can reliably repeat this.
After some testing it appears playlists in services do not have this issue. At least after some testing.
When I load a largish playlist from say Qobuz or Apple Music etc. if I quickly go to the queue I can see that the playlist is loaded into chunks until all the tracks are loaded. The last one I just loaded had 923 tracks in it. It took around 5 chunks to get it all in. The problem is when it’s one of my Music Library playlists the chunks seem to never end. Well eventually they stop loading, but now there are a crap load of the same playlist loaded over and over again.
Queue is not only broken, the option is gone to add or edit queues after last update.
when playing spotify Numbers or list from the Sonos app, it Will only show starter from spotify now as the queue.
cant even add any Numbers or delete any now.
for now the Sonos app is only usefull for volume and combining rooms.
The other thing missing in the queue is the album art from my library. Also how about a better way to find a position in the queue. This is iPeng for SqueezeBox players. Note the bar on the right. Touch somewhere on the bar to get to an approximate location in the queue. Early 2000s tech. It’s almost 2025. You would think we’d be even further along with queue management.
