I just installed the new iOS app. Wow it’s confusing which one would expect if a new upgrade.  Problems:

  1. A playlist is playing however when I look in the Queue it is not the same playlist. It is the previous one or it says can’t load.
  2. The play/pause control on the current playing song view doesn’t work although it is present. You have to go to the ‘Your System’ view to control the sound and play. Weird.

  3.  Speaker control not working

Yup since December 2023. Says most employees were using it. Says it’s better, faster than the old app.

If the CEO has time to test, we have a real problem!  The CEO should be ensuring that his staff is hiring top notch system and software testers.  Wow, I am listening this morning and it is driving me crazy - what is listed as playing in the queue, is not what is playing.  I just want to say, they deliver this product and then want to stuff advertisements on the home page - just what I want to see first thing in the morning on a failed system.  My eyes are rolling! I might have to try Bose!

I assure you, testing wasn’t the problem. They would have to be the most incompetent QA team in history to miss the problems with this app.  More likely is some suit greenlit an unfinished app in order to meet a deadline.  This one’s not on the dev/QA groups, not by a longshot.

Agreed, the problem is at the top. ‘Reputation’ must mean nothing to these people.
