Just received an email regarding a new Sonos product that’ll be announced this week. After the latest SW debacle I’m shocked Sonos would try to release a new product..

As a Sonos user for more that 10 years I can honestly say there’s no way I’d consider another Sonos product until the SW issues are fixed!!

I totally agree. Nothing works well if at all after “upgrade”.  My Sonos Connect will no longer connect to the speakers so I lost the use of my turntable. Was looking forward to headphones, but not now.


They have probably set the development priorities for the new app to deliver the experience that they need to support and sell the headphones.

I think the main thing that they will have learned from the new app disaster is that there are lot of users who run their music from local servers rather than a streaming service. I think that they may not have considered that these users would want to use headphones to listen to their locally stored music.

Based on the app my guess is that the headphones will be marketed more for Sonos on the go than Sonos in the home.

They collect user data and know what services and features are used by owners  

 

They dont care cause they knew who uses what and they did it anyway. They knew exactly what the were doing.
