New feature: Alarms Groups

I would like a function to create alarm groups that I can use only for the alarms.

In the morning when the alarm goes off, I would like to play the radio for a group of speakers where we are in the morning. But in the evening when I turn on my TV (that is one of the speakers in the morning), I don't want the TV sound to be in all rooms.

I don't want to turn off the group every evening when we are going to watch TV and then turn the group back on when we go to bed so that the alarm works again in the morning.

Hi @nian66

This sounds like a good feature to have and could be an option inside of the alarm section of the app. The often requested automatic pairing/unpairing of stereo pairs and surrounds is likely not possible as is requires configuration before the pairing is finalized, but grouping doesn’t require any additional configuration: doing so automatically may be possible.

I’ll be happy to forward this along to the relevant team for their consideration. If you have any other suggestions or feature requests, then please let us know.

Regarding this case I have no more. I just hope this will be a available feature in the future.

You can create alarm groups for specific times and activities using a smart home automation system or app that supports multi-room audio and scheduling. Set up a "Morning Alarm" group that plays the radio in the morning, and a "TV" group for the evening to control which speakers are active. Ensure the system allows for creating and managing these groups independently, so you don’t have to manually turn them off and on. This way, the alarm group can be active in the morning, and the TV group can be set to operate only in the evening.
