There was a news release noting a rush of marriages in Las Vegas in order to capture the 12/31/23 date (123123). Of course this would not make much sense in the UK. I suppose that there were other rushes on 11/11/11 and 12/12/12 and similar dates. There was probably a huge rush on 01/01/01. 12/01/44 might be interesting for math majors if they can wait 20 years or have been married for 80+ years.
