Feedback on upgrade from Sonos ARC to ARC Ultra

I am an avid user of Sonos products for the past 10 years, as well, enthusiastically tout the products to friends and family during this time. It is not my intention to engage in Sonos bashing. My questions is, has your switch from ARC to Ultra gone smoothly, or is it just me??

My experience is a bit disappointing.

My setup is a Verizon Fios cable box >> Sony Bravia smart TV » TV ARC output to » Arc Untra / L & R rear One SL speakers & Sub Woofer.

First - The spatial audio surround qualities when watching a movie is awesome. A noticeable improvement!!!

Problem 😢 - (1) When I switch to a different TV channel, audio dies. I have to switch TV to its internal  speakers, then back to external speakers, audio resumes. Can you imagine the annoyance. Of course, I tried different HDMI cables, reset all systems, manipulated every TV and Sonos audio parameter to no avail. Remember, the only thing to change was the Arc soundbars. My previous Arc worked just fine. I have a case opened with SONOS support, so we shall see. Again, just curious if my issue is common. Thanks

My swap was quick and painless, no issues.

Went from Playbar to Arc Ultra, no problems at all.

I think you have updated your TV and SONOS with the latest software/firmware, but sometimes you have to go to your TV's home page and download updates manually as a search on the TV itself does not always work correctly.
Have you tried resetting your TV?
Have you tried changing the HDMI port? (I know it should be in earc but just to try)
Have you tried another TV?

That's more to try to rule out Arc Ultra/your TV.
