crappy update

Why does the Sonos app keep getting worse? I constantly have to factory reset speakers and the user experience is horrible. Other family members have given up and started buying their own Bluetooth speakers because the system is undependable. The updates are making thousands of dollars of speakers worthless.

It’s a ‘known issue.’ And Sonos is ‘working on it.’ Patience will be required. In the meantime, you could try ‘sonophone’ or ‘phonos+,’ both are 3rd party apps that some users have tried with good results.
