Sonos can work on any WiFi channel.
The issue is your local WiFi and other 2.4 GHz signals, some channels are more congested than others so it is best to avoid them. Sadly there is no good way to tell which channel is best, just trying each of the three and going with the one that gives you the least problems is usually best.
