App Feature Request: Add “Force Music Mode” Option for TV Audio Sources

Feel the need to reopen this! Was marked as closed, but I can’t accept that this is not getting the attention it needs. It’s a simple software tweak, and should be easily added through a firmware and software update. In 2025 we love having a GUI while operating our music players, so playing music through TV is absolutely relevant. For sonos to be hardcoded to TV-mode, when source is Line (hdmi), thats just unacceptable for this pricy peace of hardware!

Hope you take note of this feature request, and take it seriously this time.

As ​@jgatie stated, the “closed” status of the earlier thread has nothing to do with the acceptance - or lack thereof - of the suggested feature.

All threads are closed after a period of inactivity.  The fact a thread has been closed only means it has no activity for a certain length if time.  Nothing else.
