WMA Files - no sound when playing

My wma files, are no longer playing any sound.

I have check the bit rate and Khz of my files 192kbps and 44.1KHz, which conform to Sonos guidelines but still wont play.

I think this has happened since the last update.

Is any one else having this problem again, I know it was any issue a while back.

Just got of phone with technical support, said they are aware of problem and are working to fix it.

Suggested we wait a month before we convert our files from wma, but would not give us an exact  timeline.

Found out to have identical issue, but to add to this, my “Home Theater” (combined 2 One’s and Playbar) works Ok playing back WMA, where my single One fails.

If I’m playing to All Devices the single One fails, until I decouple. The single One plays back for half a second …then stops/fails.

MP3 is Ok.

Not terribly surprising, Sonos has already indicated they’re aware of it, and are working on a solution, as indicated above.

Contacted Sonos tech support about some of my files, .wma were not working after the update and it was news to them. Was out of town, got back and the music I have been playing for years no longer works. This is unacceptable service.

Hopefully they get this fixed soon. It was broken in a recent update.

I would believe the Sonos staff posting here before I would first level support. They don’t always understand the issue, or are unable to find it in their script responses. And if the tech support you are referring to is the support chat bot, well… enough said.
