No album art for local library queue on Android app

Album art is working for my local NAS library when I'm selecting albums, and shows in the summary page when I'm playing a track.   But when I look at the queue there's no album art. That's not a big deal when just playing an Album but it's a pain when building a multi-album queue or playlist. 

 

This works on the iOS app, and I thought it was working recently in Android. But not any more. Had something changed? I don't think anything has changed in my set up. I have re-added the music library, but that doesn't help.

    Thanks for all the replies! On the issue about displaying album names, I'm seeing Artist - Album name in Android.

     

    Did you add that to the queue using the android app? The only time my android app shows that correctly (artist - album) is if I add to the queue using iOS or a desktop controller.

    I thought I would chime in.

    In my case, on Android (latest app 80.34.40):

    • I have no issues regarding properly showing Artist - Album name under the track name on the “currently playing” screen.

    Places where I don’t get album art shown when playing local files (off NAS) are:

    1. in queue view;
    2. when browsing the music library through the file system structure:
    • when contents of a folder is listed, albums in that folder don’t have covers shown;
    • when I enter the given album found as per point above, the big cover art on top is not shown, whereas in a list of songs below, each one has a corresponding cover art displayed.

    In all other instances (including searching my local music library) the covers show themselves correctly.

    Switched to a different album, with more complete tags and I'm seeing that glitch too, doubled artist, no album.

     

    In case anyone was wondering about this, it is now fixed in the latest android controller update. Build 82.00.45-release+20260211.43a29eb.

    I’m just referring to the problem of Artist - Artist showing on the now playing screen. Missing album art in the queue (the subject of this thread) for songs from the music library is still missing.

    The subject of this thread, “No album art for local library queue on Android app”, has now been fixed (again) with 84.00.32-release+20260331.956a750.
