Last.fm Integration Status and Plans for Restoration

Hey Sonos,

Could you clarify the situation with Last.fm integration? Initially, it disappeared from the mobile app but was still accessible on the desktop version and functioning in the background. However, it now seems to be entirely unavailable.

Could you please confirm if there are plans to restore this feature soon? Thank you.

the unawareness of the Sonos team and unwillingness to implement a simple, much requested feature is unacceptable. It's frankly ridiculous that people have been asking for it for 9 months and the company just hasn't added back the integration that is literally sending a token with a song name and artist to last.fm every play. especially insane given that it a) existed before b) they're an expensive brand already under a lot of fire for bad practice c) last.fm people have literally offered to guide you through the process

made a forum account just to say this, simply unacceptable

and don't even get me started about community managers of a speaker company not knowing what last.fm is, a 20 year old service with millions of users

It's really surprising that a company like Sonos hasn’t been able to bring back Last.fm integration, especially given how valuable it is to many users. It would be great to get some clarity on whether this is being considered at all. The responses from community managers so far have been quite vague, and it would mean a lot if Sonos could take the time to properly look into this and provide a more informed update. Hopefully, this is something that can be addressed in the near future!
