Controllers & Music Services

(I can create them anew and the new ones read the same Amazon files correctly.)  It was as though a mysterious virus had swept down on my Sonos system, no idea why.  The earlier playlists (many dozens) are still there but the files are all, quote, ”not encoded properly”.   Any thoughts/advice much appreciated.(My only Sonos equipment is a ZP80.  Running S1 on my Iphone and Imac.)

Hi,  I've had my system since November 2025, and it's worked perfectly until today under the app.For some reason the app cannot see the beam gen2, sub-mini and the era300s.It states the network isn't there, which is nonsense, as i can see the beam logged in with a perfect signal, and my home network is working normally. Of course I can stream from the tv and it works, however the app refuses to see the system, and therefore no control over it, apart from the remote.  The app states I should update the network, clearly it's only the app that cannot see the speakers, so why would I need to update the network?Should I just delete and reinstall the app?  Any ideas please would be welcomed. Thanks.

Hello! No more Sonos app in the App Store in Switzerland… What happened?

Hello All -Surprisingly I have been referred here by the second level support team as they don’t have the answer, neither does the beta test team.I have about 35k tracks in FLAC on my NAS drive.  Until a while ago - after the last update but before going down the beta test route - I could right click on the root directory of all the tracks and they’d be added to the queue.  It took a little time but it happened. Now it simply tells me that the queue is full even while the “Queue is empty” is showing.  If I laboriously add each of the 30-odd subdirectories one by one they are added to the queue no problem, right up to the 35k level.I am using a Mac Mini M4 with Sequoia 15.7.4, 24GB of memory and Sonos S2 17.2.3.Any thoughts out there?  (Sonos support have no record of anybody else reporting this problem.)Thanks,Ian.

Je viens de mettre à jour l’appli et mon système home cinéma complet pourquoi je n’ai plus la qualité du son que j’écoute sur l’appli ???avant je voyais, si j’étais en Atmos ou pas ?

HiI have Sonos since around 2017. Since two weeks I have a new computer with Windows 11 and now I am unable to use the Sonos Music Library on the Windows App (Sonos Controller for PC). Error messages:Sonos was unable to add the music folder. Please check that the path to the folder, and the username and password if needed, are correct. Reason: Access to the shared folder "\\XY" is denied.or"\\XY" is no longer available. The device where the music files are stored may not be powered on, or the path may have changed. What I would like to achieve is to incorporate two folders in my Sonos Music Library (as was before):C:\Music\01-MusicC:\Music\02-MusicNewThe folders are 121 GB and 210 GB in size respectively and shared with a dedicated local Windows user account (no microsoft online account).I am able to access the paths via UNC (e.g. \\MyComputer\01-Music) in Windows Explorer locally as well as from a different computer in the network. The cable-based network is set to private. The firewall

I have a Samsung S25 phone running Android 16 and oneUI 8.5.  Last Monday, 11 May 2026, Sonos updated their app.Since then I can not manage alarms in the app.  The only way to manage alarms is in a PC app, in my case MacOS.  There’s a catch, the MacOS app is intel based and M1 Macs use Rosetta to use it.  The Rosetta translated app will soon be withdrawn.Sonos Support take two hours to get to the point where they just shrug their shoulders and point toward the soon to be withdrawn PC app.We invest on Sonos products because of a perceived notion that it’s good an reliable.  In recent times Sonos has become a laughing stock.Has anyone else had a similar experience? Regards,Kevin J

je rippe mes CD audio avec NERO, et je vois la jaquette s’afficher dans l’appli NERO pendant le rippage. Cependant, quand j’importe le CD dans SONOS, la jaquette ne s’importe pas. Pourquoi ?

I have a number of different alarms. I would like to configure transient groups for those alarms. Some alarms should group certain speakers. Other alarms should group different speakers. I can’t set up a group “beforehand” that is appropriate for all types of alarms.  it seems like there should be some sort of “select speakers to group” when setting up alarms, but strangely you can set up alarms on only one speaker at a time. And if you set up the same alarm on multiple speakers, they don’t “sync” properly.

Hi,a few months ago I created the linked post requesting a full-screen cover display option on iPads, similar to what’s available on Android tablets. I was wondering if there’s any update or new information regarding this feature request. It would be great to have this option again, as I use my iPad as a dedicated home music controller. Thanks!

HiI have been trying for quite a while to update my Sonos Windows App on my Windows 11 device but just keeps on failing. I have submitted a diagnosticsIs anyone in the Sonos community able to help?In the app it doesnt show anything under error log either so I have got nothing to help my self troubleshoot myself. All updates are applied to my Win 11 machine. I can answer any other questions if it helps. Thanks Moderator Note: Recorded and removed diagnostics number.

I have read many frustrated comments about songs dropping out and back in intermittently on Sonus amp system.   No solutions were offered except “wait an hour on the help line”.  I solved my issue which I determined to be a conflict between the wireless router and the hard wired network connection (hard wired is by far preferred).  After many hours of frustration….. It is as simple as relocating the wired network connection from the amp(s) (I have 6 in the system) from the modem to the first hub in the router mesh network.  It seems that the wireless router (Deca 6e) can manage the wired output and not attempt to connect wirelessly.  Note: as mentioned in other posts, if you disable the wireless capability of the amps they cannot communicate with wireless subs and era 100’s.  I hope this helps you avoid the frustration I faced.  Bill H

I had to power cycle all my Sonos equipment to correct a “ghost” song that would start random play at various times of the day and night on one of more of my Sonos equipment throughout my house. Doing that solved that problem, but have now encountered another issue, one that is a major problem for me.I redid my connection to YT Music Premium, and have found that Sonos now limits the number of albums I can see for any given artist. A good example is The Rolling Stones who have over 100 albums related to them on YT Music, to around 20 to 30. This eliminates my ability to brows their catalog within Sonos; a major disadvantage when using Sonos. Sonos AI says to enter the album I want to hear, and when it appears, I will be able to listen to it when I want. If I knew what that would be I wouldn’t be typing this now.According to all sources of information I see, including Gemini AI, this is not a YT problem. It is a limitation of the Sonos app.I see similar posts about this dating back two y

I added local library tracks to my queue and when I double clicked on the first track, what my daughter had been streaming resumed playing. Please fix this.

I raised a ticket more than a month ago and at first Sonos tried to fix the issue - now I am stuck with no apple music library, SONOS ignoring emails and then telling me engineers are working on it - in the meantime apple keeps updating and SONOS do nothing to fix this issue - surely I am not alone??? I cannot access my music library at all

This has been stuck for hours and   only have about 5gb of file that im trying to add

Album art is working for my local NAS library when I'm selecting albums, and shows in the summary page when I'm playing a track.   But when I look at the queue there's no album art. That's not a big deal when just playing an Album but it's a pain when building a multi-album queue or playlist.  This works on the iOS app, and I thought it was working recently in Android. But not any more. Had something changed? I don't think anything has changed in my set up. I have re-added the music library, but that doesn't help.

My app for backing up my music takes about 3 minutes.  Indexing my library in Sonos app takes an hour and a half?  How come it takes so long?

I store all my music on my Mac.  I’m concerned as I don’t see support planned for a native Mac app.  Intel support is ending soon.  How will Sonos access the music on my Mac without a native app?

The Android Trueplay toggle has been missing for some time, possibly poking the developers again could help?https://en.community.sonos.com/controllers-and-music-services-229131/new-app-android-missing-trueplay-6927790?tid=6927790&fid=229131Copied from Jamie A there, 10 months ago.I’ve checked with the team and there is an issue raised regarding Android missing the Trueplay toggle, though this wasn’t because of the new app as it was raised after it was released. The workaround is to use an iOS device to toggle devices using Advanced Tuning (Quick Tuning it still available on the devices that support it while using Android). I’ve tagged the thread with the relevant issue, but I don’t have any ETA to share on when it will be fixed. If I do hear anything then I’ll share it here.My last iOS device is going out of support, not enough memory to load 26.4 (I think it said) and I'd really like to have the ability to turn Trueplay on and off from Android.Borrowing a device to retune Trueplay

SONOS closed this conversation on the community. YET , two years later the issue still exists. Has anyone actually found a fix? And why has SONOS screwed this ump so bad then NOT fix it? See all the screenshots in the closed conversation. I have reset, re-synched, signed in/out, powered up/down  everything.  Is there a real solution?

Why am I being denied access by Sonos to a particular track from an artist - yet can play other tracks from the same artist ?

In the Sonos iOS app, scrolling generally freezes in the volume slider window.   This probkem seems worse on the iPad than on tne iPhone.   Resettng the app, clearing the cache, and rebooting the device did not solve the problem.   Luckily, scrolling the volume sliders still works in the Mac app.

Hi! I work in a restaurant that has two different rooms where we normally play two different playlists. Normally thats not a problem but we have recently had a message saying “playback from Spotify was stopped because playback was started from another room or device. Spotify limits the number of simultaneous audio streamsyou can access from its services” but that has never been an issue in the past. Is there a way i can fix this? We use Ipads as our music control and our sono’s app to decide the playlists.  Thanks
