Controllers & Music Services

Hi, I have two connect amps (quite a few years old - series 1 I think?). The app cannot detect anything and it says 'unable to connect to Sonos'. Looking at the bridge it no longer has a white light showing but is connected via a cable to the router and we have full Internet signal. I've turned on and off again and didn't seem to make any difference. It seems like the bridge is not working...?  Help please! Thanks  Anton

What is going on?   Our bar & restaurant business has been using Sonos for over four years now, with music an essential part of our customers experience.  About a week and a half ago, our Sonos apps updated in the middle of the night, and suddenly our four years worth of carefully curated playlists are totally missing.  We spend our valuable time creating these lists, so that the BPM’s are always upbeat, and fit the lively vibe of our bar.  We cannot allow the generic stations to just play random songs, as these are not even close to the quality of the curated songs we’ve spent years compiling.  Can someone show us how to just download the earlier version of the app?  This new one is so buggy, and jumps around from genre to genre randomly.  It’s terrible, and it’s affecting our business.  Customer service lines are 55 mins plus to try and speak with a representative.  Does anyone know what  is going on?  Any info would be helpful.  Thank you.

As stated in other forums around here, I’m one of the hundreds of thousands (millions?) of loyal customers who been disconnected from my Sonos-system since the launch of the new app.I’m so god damn’ frustrated. I cant understand how a tech-company with the mission statement: “ Help the world listen better”, how on earth they could agree (someone must have decided) to go forward and launch this app from hell??? An app that leaves the systems totally useless for some, and for others just strips them from minimum functions (add to queue?)And I think the answer to why, is very obvious, since we’ve all been bombarded with email marketing and commercials telling us to buy the new revoulutionizing headphones Sonos Ace...as I understand it, totally normal headset without the connectivity to the existing Sonos speakers, but with the ability to connect to a soundbar and therefore use it while watching TV...wow.  But regardless of how unimaginative I think these new headphones sounds, I still can

I have 5 Sonos speakers distributed throughout house. Since the last update, each time I turn on Sonos, only the Arc in basement shows as ON and always playing the same song. It takes 2-3 times turning it off and turning on all the others (3 Ones and 1 Move2) before it takes. Meanwhile, the screen continues to show that song that is ready to play on the Arc even as the other speakers cycle through dozens of other songs. The app NEVER changes the song shown as playing.Sonos also randomly shuts off a speaker or two and has to be turned back on. Or the whole system just stops playing.

I have spent around 4 hours on and off today on the following:first I bought a 5 Gen 1 which I had to use a different app from the new SONOS app for then I bought a 1 Gen 2 which I could use on the new SONOS app but I wanted them both on the SONOS controller appThe SONOS app told me I could downgrade the Speaker 1 from Gen 2 to Gen 1 so I spent around 90 minutes repeatedly following the instructions to the downgrade facility.Eventually I contacted Customer services who told me that this feature doesn’t exist…..yet. As part of that discussion they told me “Despite the challenges we're facing, our team remains resilient and focused on finding solutions.” which had nothing to do with what were were talking about. So THERE IS NO DOWNGRADE FEATURE DESPITE BEING TOLD ONLINE AND IN-APP THAT THERE IS A DOWNGRADE FUNCTION.I now have 2 speakers, 2 apps and only one (the SONOS Controller) works on my Mac.The entire set up is a total mess. I do not know who has written it but if they spent more tim

Where in new app to add music library path? This on iPhone iPad app.

New app won’t find my system.  I tried restarting my phone after updating. App won’t find my system after I turn on one of my products.  Please help…I tried calling Sonos support, but my wait time is 75min!!! Thanks

Even before the new iOS update I was having issues with snoozing my alarms when I try to activate them through the app notifications. I’m hooked up to a Beam as I use that for my alarm speaker.  The snooze fails to activate so I end up setting alarms at 15 min intervals.  I can however fully dismiss the alarm but that’s not an ideal solution. Are similar issues being reported and what’s the solution, if any?  Thanks in advance for any insight & input.

I am wondering if anyone has successfully used the Sonos system with Apple products?  For several years I have struggled to get the speakers to work, many reboots, restarts, all of the suggested Sonos postings, etc.  Nothing will keep them working.  If you have used an Apple (iPad or IPhone) with Sonos successfully, would you be so kind as to let me know how you have done this.

If SONOS would have simply called the new app S3 allowing users to switch when they wanted to NONE of this mess would have happened - NONE. If they re-released S2 as “S2 Classic” or whatever they might stand a chance of somewhat repairing this disaster. And with SONOS’s silence all we can do is assume things and make things up - and my guess is that they knew people wouldn’t switch, eliminating their ability to take their next step in destroying the brand, users, reputation, and community by forcing us to pay them a subscription to continue to use the very expensive products we bought from them. I would NEVER buy a speaker/headphones/etc that included a subscription cost.I’d imagine that the headphones might be a flop because no matter where a potential customer looks all they are going to find is extremely negative content (which of course was completely avoidable).More than anything I want to go back to enjoying my SONOS products and believing in the company but time is running out. I

Support needed - Spotify I need some help, can’t find answers anywhere. Spotify on the new app only lets me access the last 50playlists I have curated, can’t view any albums I have saved either. Playlists were working yesterday, albums I figured was just a glitch and would sort itself out. I have disconnected Spotify and reauthorised no change at all. I’m reluctant to uninstall the app and reinstall after reading about people’s troubles here. Oh I should I add that the problem I’m experiencing is across all my devices iOS and Mac and windows. It’s pretty frustrating

Hey everyone,I keep seeing a lot of Users with questions about the SMB Protocol issue. The reason Sonos can’t help is because none of that is within the sphere of their control. All of that setup and configuration is 100% in the User camp, something they should mention and have a better Support Article for then this: https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/use-a-nas-drive-with-sonosIt can depend on many factors such as Operation System, Network Configuration, and if and how you share your content with the Sonos system. I hope my experiences help someone here.Since I have a Synology NAS (DSM 7), I can help with that. I’ve been running these Settings at two different networks for the past 6 months+ with zero issues. The only thing I did when I was done with this change was to unmount my NAS from my computer as I had it mounted, the other was re-index my Library just to check those boxes as it were. The only thing I’ve noticed is indexing under SMB 2/3 is a bit slower. I did all of this s

Thanks for the responses about copying Amazon Playlists to SONOS- it can’t be done! But, someone mentioned playing the playlists directly from the Amazon app.  I have been researching how to add my speakers to Amazon App so they will display for “Connect a Device.”  All I see is Airplay and my iPhone.  I read select Services and then Voice and Services but I do not have those options.  I am on version 80.00.30 now with SONOA app.Can someone point me in the right direction on how or if) I can add my speakers.  I have 10 and it would be great to have my Amazon playlist as an option.  Currently I buy all my songs with Apple, sync library to SONOS, etc.  I have Prime so can download inclusive of Prime pricing model.

I thought I’d provide some feedback on the new app using iOS devices, not covering absent features that are in the roadmap, and mentioning points that I’ve not seen covered elsewhere.Whenever I start the app I receive a ‘Turn on Bluetooth to Allow “Sonos” to Connect to Accessories’ message. A minor annoyance. I like the fact that the search box is always available on the home screen. I like that I can choose a Preferred Service which then appears first in the list. Even better if we had full control over this sequencing. ’Recently Played’ shows most but not all of what I have played. For example, if I play Radio Paradise Main Mix through the Radio Paradise service it doesn’t appear in the list of recent items. Also, nothing played from my local library appears in the recent list. ’Sonos Favorites’ appear to be ordered by how recently they were added. And on the Home Screen the two rows are somewhat unintuitive in ordering top left, bottom left etc. Much better if the items appeared alp

I'm reluctantly on 80.01.11 and just wondering from those who have updated if 80.01.30 is helping or hurting, is it doing something or nothing?

Where is the dual mono option on the new S2 App?

Following the breach of trust with customers that the recent update makes clear, I am wondering how to fnd another way to play music in my house. The Sonos hardware I use is fine - how can I find another, non-Sonos way to push music to them from a local HDD library or NAS without letting Sonos software into the equation? This may be a dumb question - I’m twenty years behind on wifi tech - but I’ve pretty much had it with Sonos. Any suggestions?

Ik kan naar mijn radio station niet meer luisteren

I’d just like to remind Sonos management that the problem with the new app release is not just performance and reliability…..the new UI is very difficult to navigate. How hard is to make an app that you just click on the app and then click on the music you want to listen to without menus, scrolling, swipes and navigation that is not intuitive? It’s been almost 20 years since I started using Sonos and it just keeps getting worse and worse.

My Daughter listens to some audio books. One of them is "Bibi und Tina" they've got many many episodes (more than 100). In the YtMusic app, and in the old Sonos App (classic search...) we could find all albums, now with the 80.* app only 33 albums show up. And to make a bad situation worse, you can't even play a specific episode (example "Bibi und Tina 054"). It does show up as a search result, but all songs are grayed out, and you can't play the album. "Something went wrong" when playing a track (found with search) from that album/episode.Any help for this issue? I'll soon be forced to change to another hardware, as we won't change to another streaming service…

Just updated the app. Signed in but after that it just shows a blank screen. What's happening? So many issues since your update!

Since recent update, I need to push the start button 5 or 6 times in the app (iOS) before the system starts… the same happens when switching off… is there a solution… is this an exceptional issue or do other people experience similar problems… is this related to the latest update?

Sonos Radio is in an authorization loop; the new app is unable to successfully authorize access to the channel. My older desktop Mac OS app which I DID NOT update works fine. Do not update all resources or you will need to wait for a fix to this issue. RE: Sonos Mgmt, please consider that we are paying a monthly fee to have no access to service

Despite a lengthy phone call, help was unable to get new Sonos upgrade to pick up my iTunes music library, keeps asking for logins and passwords, which I don’t have. Has worked fine for many years; have added additional speakers at considerable cost, and I now can’t access my 38,000 song iTunes music library!!!so frustrating!!

Trying to setup a speaker, but I need to login to the app again.  When it launches the embedded browser it just is stuck loading login.sonos.  I can choose load in chrome and login loads instantly, but when it redirects into the app it's still on the embedded browser. Removed and reinstalled the app. No changeApp 80.01.30iOS 17.4.1Any other way to get the oauth token into the app?
