Apple Music: “Something went wrong”

I used Apple Music in the Sonos app this morning just fine. Tried to use it again this evening and got the dreaded “Something went wrong” message (seems this has been going on for years).

 

I tried removing Apple Music and re-adding/re-authorizing, still not working. Any ideas out there?

Apple Music & TV server were down for scheduled maintenance. I’m sure Apple could have used better wording, “some users affected, with no user impact” 😂

Apple TV - Resolved Outage

Yes same here. Removed Apple Music, re-added it and I still get the same message. Works great using airplay but not in Sonos app.

    You can Airplay Apple Music to Sonos? I don’t see the Sonos option in Apple Music app.

      The Apple SMAPI service is down, but the status page says it isn’t, because it is garbage. Sonos, I’ll write you a music service status checker if you like. Hint: just call the service and look at the xml that comes back.

        I think at this moment, the Sonos status page is human operated/updated, I don’t think there are any programmatic checks going on. Sadly.

        Me too. Added, removed, re-added. ‘Something went wrong’ error remains. Yet I can AirPlay from my phone to the speakers fine. Not apple music, yet again it’s Sonos.

        I’m having trouble with Apple TV right now…so it’s not just Apple Music.

          Apple Music is available via the Sonos App here in the US again as well. Just another Apple Server glitch which happens more often than I like; but it is what it is 😂.
