Also the ability to see/control music from the notification area and lock screen.

    I thought this was quite interesting. On a Samsung phone, a very basic widget is available which allows you to play and pause Sonos from the lock screen (see image with tiles). Unfortunately, you have to then unlock to get the skip, volume and grouping options (see more detailed widget).
