Stopping the service may affect Sonos homescreen widgets

Android Galaxy S10+. App version 11.1.

The notification “Stopping the service may affect Sonos homescreen widgets” shows constantly regardless of the status of Sonos system or what actions I am taking.

I have read the post made about six months ago. Sonos rep stated they would look into it. I have turned off background process notifications but I suspect I am not seeing other notifications.

When will this be fixed?

    Greetings,

Thanks for reaching out. We have been getting reports that other users are using the Sonos app widget on Android devices are currently receiving a notification prompt on the device stating "Stopping the service may affect Sonos homescreen widgets" when it is connected to WiFi.

Follow one of the workarounds below and let me know what happens:

    • Remove the widget.
    • Turn off the notification :
      • Phone or Tablet settings > Notifications > Sonos > toggle off"Background Services"
      • Phone or Tablet settings > Apps > Sonos > Notifications > toggle off"Background Services"
