How to display/change the queue on an iPad

I have the Sonos app on Windows 10 and 11 systems, and also on an iPad mini. I have added items to the queue via my Windows system, and the first one is playing now. So it works.

But when I try to display the queue on the iPad, the window shows “Queue is empty.” Even though it isn’t. This does not change over time; well, several minutes anyway.

Is there a way to make the queue appear on the iPad? All apps are S2; and the latest version, as far as I know.

Hello @ronks, welcome back!

Please have a look at our tutorial page here in the Community below:

At the very end of the thread you can see a short video of selecting a Room to show by sliding the bar upwards.

You then select the Room that is currently playing and the bar minimizes at the bottom of the screen. Now instead of sliding the bar upwards, simply tap on it to show the Now Playing screen.

While the Now Playing screen is on the screen, at the bottom left you can tap the icon to Edit the queue or simply view it.

Another tutorial page for visual aid:

I hope this helps.

Thank you; I think I understand the iPad app better now.

But it is still true that even when playing from the queue, the Queue window on the iPad says “Queue is empty” while the Windows app shows the correct contents of the queue.

We love our Sonos system, but I think the app on the iPad has a problem.

And if you have a suggestion box, I would recommend that the two versions of the user interface be made more similar. Shifting mental gears between the two different UIs seems like an unnecessary hurdle.
