Dire need of a master control app function

As Sonos has been around for quite some time now, why have you not developed some sort of a 'master control' function for the app?

Sonos is a great idea and the functionality of "anyone with the app can add songs into the playlist" is handy, but there's always that one friend who (purposely or not) disrupts the playlist.

As it seems like quite a popular talking topic, why have you not spent time adding a 'register one password controlled master device' which can change music, and every other Sonos app can only add songs into the playlist?

    It's possible that they're busy doing other things that they consider more important to the profitability of company. But that's just a guess on my part.

      Because Sonos have a will to make access to music easier, quicker and for everybody.

      Frankly there's no excuse for a "friend" to be allowed the opportunity to mess with your Sonos more than once.

          I would really like to see a master controller setting, or the ability to set a temporary password. Most of the time it is no issue, but at parties some people like to mess about with these things and it becomes annoying, it is very easy to pair pretty much any device with Sonos which is one of the great things about it, but the ease and anonymity it offers is too much of a temptation for some. Seems a strange thing for them not to have.

            So let me get this straight. You invite strangers round to your house, Ply them with alcohol and give them access to your private network - your family photos, videos, documents, your porn collection, your browsing history. None of that concerns you but you worry about them playing the birdie song at an in opportune moment?

            Really. Create a guest network and let them have access to that.

              The owner of the system should be able to control the system on their phone- including all functions.
