Where/how can I set the PRESET the Sonos-TV-Channel Sound Volume, set a DEFAULT SPEAKER VOLUME for my Sonos-TV Channel (Linked to my Playbase/Sub/Play3/ Surround HomeTheater  setup via Playbase – Digital Fiber TV input)

S2- TV Autoplay mode is enabled, yet seems to lag Sound Volume PRESET controls.

Sonos “Playbase/Sub/Play3 Surround” group remembers last used “Room-Volume-level”, yet doesn’t remember or honor last-used - TV-Channel volume.

As a result if you boost up Room-Level Volume and turn-on the TV, then same boosted-level is used for TV-channel.

If you turn down Room-level, then TV-sound level is also down

At present being forced to frequently adjust the Sonos-TV Channel volume each time we turn on the TV set, most annoying

Hi @XXXGoldyLocksXXX

Welcome to the Sonos community. Thanks for reaching out to us and letting us know about your concern. Allow me to share some information with you.

When playing the TV with your home theater setup, you can adjust the volume using the Sonos app or using your TV remote if already setup. You can toggle in your TV settings to change the audio output to an external speaker or audio system. If you’re unable to find these settings, consult your TV’s manual or manufacturer for specific steps.

Let me suggest the next troubleshooting steps if it will work for you.

  1. Reboot your Sonos devices and TV
    • Unplug the optical cable from the Sonos Playbase and the TV.
    • Unplug the power cable from your TV, the Sonos Playbase, and any connected audio source (such as a cable box or video game console). Wait 30 seconds before you plug them back in.
    • Reconnect the optical cable to your TV and the Sonos Playbase. Inspect the cables to ensure it’s not bent or kinked and check to see that it’s fully inserted into both devices.
    • Update the TV’s software (if available)
  2. Adjust the group audio delay
    • Settings > System > Tap your Sonos Playbase > Group Audio Delay and then choose a delay option.
  3. Check for Sonos update
    • Settings > System > Check for updates.
  4. Repeat the TV Setup
    • On the Sonos app, go to Settings > System > Tap on Living Room (Beam) > TV setup. Please follow the steps on the app to complete the setup.
    • Once completed, test TV and music playback if it’s working.
