I have a Beam and plan on using two Era 300s to create a surround sound group for my tv setup. My question is I have an existing turntable that is playing through a Sonos Five. Am I able to connect the five through the beam and era 300s to play my turntable through the house? Or once they are setup as surround sound am I unable to do that?
I have a Arc Ultra and Sub 4 arriving this week. what are my best option for adding surround speakers in this room. the house came with 5.1 ‘pre-wired’ but i don’t think the ceiling locations are optimal.. Would you pick #1 (ceiling rough-in), #2 (end tables era 100) or #3 (era 100 on wall). or suggest other options? thanks

Hi everyone,I’m running into a recurring issue with my Sonos Amp in a UniFi network and wanted to check if anyone has seen something similar or has a working setup with current UniFi firmware.Setup: Sonos Amp Ubiquiti UniFi network system (UDM Pro + switches) Amp connected via Ethernet (also tested via WiFi) Flat network during testing (no VLAN separation) Problem:After a reboot, the Amp works fine. But after some time (hours to days, even when idle), it becomes completely unreachable: disappears from the Sonos app cannot be pinged does not respond to ARP requests In UniFi, the behavior varies slightly: sometimes the device is still shown as connected but greyed out other times it disappears entirely as a client however, the physical link LED on the switch port remains on Only a full power cycle brings it back. Replugging Ethernet alone does not help. What I already tried: Ethernet and WiFi (same behavior on both) Disabled WiFi when wired IGMP Snooping + Querier enable
I want to install 4 satellite sonance SGS Speakers and 1 sonance SGS subwoofer. I also want to listen to music via the Sonos amp for this zone. Can I use one Sonos amp or do I need the Sonance amp and also a Sonos port.
I’m moving to a new home and I have a Sonos system in my current house with built-in speakers. Should I take these components with me to my new house where I will have standalone speakers not built-in speakers?

I have an AMP that died in a suspected power surge. I have it halfway disassembled and have good pictures. I have access to multimeter and soldering gun, but have little electronics experience. is anyone here willing to run me through the at I should be testing or hoping to replace? I’d like to give this a shot before I drop the cash to replace this unit or find a different solution.
Hi all.I have a Sonos ZP90 zone player that works fine in our bar - outhouse, also linked play5 1st generation that I use sometimes outside in summer months. The ZP90 works fine in the bar, but when the Play5 is connected, it also works fine and audio is stable, but then the ZP90 in the bar starts cracking up – intermittent – hiccup sound like a lose wire like on a microphone eg, the play 5 outside (only 6 meters away from the ZP90) works perfectly and audio is stable with no issues. The Zone player ZP90 is connected to the routed via ethernet cable, the Play 5 is working via wifi. This problem occurs both from my laptop and also same thing from my iPhone.I wondered if anyone could suggest a reason for this, or a solution to this issue as it is now doing my head in!
Hello,I have connected a vinyl turntable to my two Era 300 speakers via cable and I am looking for a way to adjust the volume while listening. I saw on a forum that IKEA has a solution, but it requires buying a hub, and I already have two: my Apple TV and a TAPO hub for my connected devices. I’m surprised I haven’t found a simple solution to this problem.I should mention that I am in France, so I am looking for a solution that I can either buy in France or have delivered. Thanks in advance for your replies!
Howdy. I have two Fives, not using (and not interested in using) them as a stereo pair - one is in the bar room of my restaurant and the other is in the rear dining room. They never have trouble pairing with each other - they always play the same thing just fine. I have a Victrola Stream Onyx, because we play our music on vinyl. I was having a lot of trouble keeping this connected via WiFi, so I ran an RCA cable to the bar room speaker, and everything was working just fine. After a recent Sonos auto-update (now disabled), the signal from the turntable started dropping out, especially whenever I pause long enough to flip a record. Yesterday, I did a factory reset and set the system back up. I noticed that when I deleted the Victrola app and removed the turntable from my WiFi network, things seemed stable again. Until they didn't: the volume started randomly changing (usually set to 50, I needed it well above 70 to hear it correctly; it would then randomly get extremely loud), and oft
Hi,I’m sharing my experience to check if others have seen similar issues.Product: Pro-Ject T1 SB (purchased via Sonos)Issues across two units:• Unit 1: mechanical fault and abnormal noise out of the box• Unit 2: cueing lever lifts only ~2–3 mm – stylus does not clear the record• Stylus guard missing on deliverySupport experience:• I was referred to the importer/manufacturer• Importer declined as the unit was not purchased through them• Refund/replacement handling has been slowMy understanding is that the retailer should handle this directly.Questions:• Has anyone else experienced cueing issues on this model?• Is this considered normal tolerance, or clearly a defect?• What is the correct support path here?Appreciate any input.
Hey everyone,I recently came across several threads from people who had issues connecting their TRNTBL turntable to Sonos — including these:Problems connecting TRNTBL to Sonos temporary network (@holyvacants, @ratty, @melvimbe) TRNTBL not always connecting back to Sonos (@OsMo, @Steve_33, @anniemac98, @dukebender, @gwc2929, @abstractismo) Can't connect my TRNTBL to WiFi (@michaelcruz100, @chicks, @Airgetlam, @wjhrdy)Those threads are now closed — and the reason the TRNTBL stopped working isn't a Sonos issue. VNYL shut down their servers. The original app and cloud infrastructure are gone, which is why every TRNTBL on the planet went silent.I've been running mine since and built openTRNTBL — an open-source replacement firmware that runs directly on the turntable's onboard computer (a C.H.I.P. SBC). It streams your vinyl to any Sonos speaker on your network via WiFi, with no app, no cloud, no subscription. What it does:Captures audio from the built-in USB ADC at 48kHz Streams to an Icecas
We have 8 Sonos amps setup behind TVs throughout a house. 4 of these are connected to TVs VIA hdmi arc. All the tv locations work fine as tv locations however group play is broken. We cannot add the TV zones to music playing on the other zones or vice versa. Is this a known issue? We have followed white papers on setup for UniFi WiFi, all Sonos are on WiFi. TV auto sync is on and music grouping is on. When you play music you cannot just add other zones zones to playback. It adds then removes itself so group play is basically broken.
Hi All. I have used Sonos forever and have about 15 speakers. Mostly Play1s and 5s and surround sound etc.I’m building a new house and wondered what the reviews are like re the ceiling speakers.I like the music pretty loud and clear with bass but am hesitant to move from my usual mobile plug in speakers which I am used to a fixed option. Are they worth it? Does the sound compare to the Play 1s and 5s?My ceilings are 9 ft tall. I’m assuming they are decent sounding but how decent? Trying to get my head around the ideaThanks in advanceAndrew
community. i see a dead 4 years ago entry regarding the PIN sonos assigns to each Sonos amp to be use in setup-what a ridiculous step!! larger installations make this sooopainful.i have customers with 10-16 audio zone amps in a rack.transferring ownership- having to factory defaultresetting 16 of these in a rack is a time consuming task.getting access to these PINs is such a headache.u have to disconnect everyone of these ampsin order to read those pins to reset them up under thenew owner. i cannot believe sonos has not found another simplersolution to getting to those PINscompletely criminal that you force this onto yourcustomer’s and installers..

I have two complete Mag6.1 systems. I was told by Bestbuy tech support that I would be able to combine the 2 systems. Can anyone guide me on how a can do this? Or do I install both systems separately and somehow sync them in the Sonos amp?

FYI, If this topic has been covered elsewhere...just ignore this post 😂This is not for everyone, nor do I recommend it as a solution. It’s just another way to use Sonos speakers with a Mac Computer by using AirPlay vs wiring. There is one pre-requisite that needs to be in place:A Stable Network with good Wifi signal strength; as AirPlay piggybacks on home WiFi.My gear consists of:Apple Mac Studio M1 (2022) * MacOS Tahoe 26.3.1 Sonos OS: S2 Sonos Build_83.00.36 Sonos Move2 in stereo pair **Network Settings:On your Mac go to:Apple (upper left corner of display) System Settings SoundAs you can see under “Output” I have an Apple Studio Display as default speakers. However, the speakers highlighted in “Blue” named “Patio” are my Move2’s designated for sound output via AirPlay. Using AirPlay has its faults:There’s an approximate two (2) second delay to hear sound when watching a YouTube video clip. However, the good news is that once things get going everything is in sync. Playing music via
Sonos has started sputtering during songs and finally halting that song at a standstill, then a message: “Network connection speed insufficient to maintain playback buffer.” Then it goes to next song in the queue and again sputters to a standstill. Doesn’t always happen, sometimes goes along fine for a song or two before it happens again. Ookla speed test states 447.0 download, 19,9 upload. Driving me crazy and any help much appreciated. Only started happening 4 days or so ago.My only Sonos-manufactured equipment is a single ZP80 and using Iphone (sometimes my Imac) S1 controller. Everything worked beautifully before this problem started. No other known problems with other various functions operating on my network.
