So I’ve used this one maybe 20 times and now it does not start to turn. Blue light on 33 blinks fast. Can’t remember if it used to do that or stayed solid? anyone know if this could be some software issue ?
I have a sonos home theatre system in my living room connected to our tv: sound bar, sub and x2 sonos speakers.I would now like to add a phono player via a connect amp. I have added the connect amp to my home system but when trying to connect it to the existing components above it asks whether I would like to remove the existing connection. any advice on options would be much appreciated Many thanks Jeremy
I have an old Connect which I've used to connect my turntable (which does have pre-amp) + amplifier + wired speakers to my Sonos (original Play:1’s and Play:3’s, so I can simultaneously play wired speakers and Sonos, using my tape monitor on the amplifier. I was looking to purchase a Dayton HTA200 to replace my current amplifier, but it does not have a tape monitor setting, so I think I’d be forced to either play through my wired speakers or Sonos, but not both. Is there a way to set this up with my existing system? or would a Sonos Amp be a better option to connect turntable, wired speakers and Sonos (S1) speakers?
How do i change my connect:AMP what is the main device in the house to the Sonos Port? And another question! Could set up my “Sonos Port” as the main device and use the “Sonos Connect” on the Sonos 2 system?
I used to run a Sonos Arc + sub gen 2 + play:1 surrounds in my home theater room with a 70” bravia 4k tv and I was very happy with the surround sound experience, but not really happy with the music I got from it… The pair of fives in the kitchen/dining space sounded far more full and really pulled me in.I’ve now moved out of the big house to an apartment. My current plan is to set up a projector for the once a month or so I want to watch a movie, and use an AMP 4.1 setup, since the primary duty will be music.Question is, what speakers to use for the mains… I don’t like the idea of spending a grand on a system that I won’t be able to tune, so my current thinking is to get some Sonos Architectural wall or ceiling speakers as the mains…Has anyone here used all three of the in-wall 6.5’s, in-ceiling 6.5’s and in-ceiling 8’s that you could compare and say if you’d recommend any of them for this type of use? Or, should I be looking at floorstanders or bookshelf mains and lose out on the DSP
I am thinking about redoing the audio in our family room and using an amp to run two towers and a center speaker. Back in the day, we would create a center channel by grabbing the negative of one side and run it to the positive of the speaker. Then we would grab the positive of the other side and run it to the negative of the speaker. Or we would series the center with the two fronts. I believe the amp has to have a grounded output and not be bridged. I am not familiar with the Sonos amp’s internals enough to know if this is the case or not. Does anyone have a similar setup like this?
Looking for advice , Have many Sonos Products and love them , Wanting to purchase two Amps and run one for each passive speaker , Will the Amp run a Bi Amp mode ?
I can’t get my Amp to autoplay from the turntable. I have tried tweaking the setting a bit, and am pretty sure I’m doing everything correctly, but it doesn’t seem to detect the turntable once I play a record. My setup -- I have a phono preamp (from Parasound). No on / off button on the preamp. In my settings I have Line In autoplay on, Source Name = Turntable, Source Level 10 (High). It never switches to the turntable when I put on a record. I’m wondering if the Phono Preamp is always sending some signal since it’s always on, so it can’t detect the change of the record. Unfortunately there isn’t a way for me to turn off the preamp that I’m aware of. Thoughts? Loading the app to switch to the turntable is pretty annoying. I know its only a few clicks, but it’s pretty anti-thetical to the goal of listening to a record. Also, it makes it hard for my family to operate if I’m not around.
Can anyone confirm if the Port has an optic in connection please? Trying to connect a Novafidelity X12 (Cocktail audio) streamer to Sonos. Thanks in advance.
I have a very irregular listening space and currently use 3 ERA 100s and a sub mini. This config is for MUSIC ONLY. I have a Beam Gen 2 in a bedroom for TV audio only. Because of the weird room(s) dynamics I have the 100s positioned 20 feet apart in a triangle formation for a listening area of 770 sq feet. I like the sound of the 100s but just ordered a pair of 300s. 20 feet apart is not ideal for stereo pairing and need to know how badly this will affect Stereo pairing the 300s. They (300s) apparently have better “features” and capacity for more “spacial” sound delivery. I plan to use the 300s as the “main” speakers with either 1, 2 or 3 100s placed in more “obscure/strategic" locations in the listening space. If I do not pair the 300s how will this affect sound delivery in 770 sq feet of listening area with weird room angles and a 5 foot wide floor to ceiling (open space) wall within the listening area? I listen to Atmos and non-atmos tracks and still hoping to get optimum dispersi
I have 8+ Sonos amps (white), for over a year I have suffered through interruption and stoppage of the music. I have been diagnosed by the highest level support (Atom). And the best response I was given was memory is failing and you need to buy new hardware. It is a significant investment, and hard to believe this is the best solution Sonos can provide. With that said my setup is such that I can’t easily switch to an alternative so I tried to use the discount code provided….and guess what the coupon didn’t work!!!
My connect was working. Then it stopped after I unplugged it to test a new amp. I tried to reset the connect by pressing the play/pause button while I power it on for a min. The light just stays white the whole time , it never flashes amber. Anything else I can try?
Is there any chance the turntable can play on speakers without the line-in adapter? Right now I have the Pro ject T1 SB with Era 100, and I got no problems.. but can it Connect to my other sonos speakers? I have 3 x era 100 and Ray with a subwoofer. Can I play on them all or is it locked on the one speaker I have cables from the turntable? please help, :)
Hi. I have beam Gen 1 with supporting speakers on the v2 app. Is a connect 2 the cheapest way to connect a Sony turntable or can I pick up an old zp 80 or 90 ? Thanks.
May I connect Sonos Beam and SL to NAD302 preamplifier output?
Hi all, I’m experiencing issues connecting my Audio Technica AT-LPW40WN turntable to era 300 speakers. When I connect the RCA to turntable and 3.5mm jack + line in jack to era 300, nothing shows up in the line in option on the Sonos app. Any suggestions?
I have (3) Sonos Connect 1st Gen Wireless amps. (2) of them are side by side right next to my router. 1 of the 2 is constantly cutting in and out and it is the only one that does this. The other 2 performs perfectly. (Also, one of those amps are connected directly to my router.) I know it’s not the streaming service that I use because it cuts out not matter what streaming service I use. It could be interference, but there isn’t anything else around my router or the amps that it could be interfering with. Please help
Ik heb een Marantz model CR611 die ik graag zou willen koppelen aan mijn Sonos one speakers Iemand een idee welke mogelijkheden er zijn?
I have a Sonos Beam gen2 and a Move Gen 1. I’d like to use them wireless with a Pioneer DJ PLX500 turntable ( RCA output ). At the moment Beam gen 2 is connected via optical cable to a LG Tv set. Thanks for your help
I just bought 2 Sonos 100 era speakers I want to use with a vintage Realistic amplifier, which is already hooked up to a vintage turntable-all working fine. I understand I need the Sonos inline adapter BUT I can’t figure out what RCA cord I need and where to plug it into the receiver. I’m seeing cords like a splitter with four male RCA plugs and a single 3.5mm jack that I thought might work. But then reading a few posts talking about using ‘Tape out’ port? Now, I’m just confused. Bottom line is to achieve stereo sound. Ive included pics of the manual. Any help would be appreciated!
I have a new Sonos Amp and a SVS subwoofer hum problem that I can't diagnose.1. When the Sonos Amp is UNPLUGGED and the mains outs are unplugged and only the sub out on the Sonos Amp is connected to the SVS sub, there's a hum. The hum is louder than when the Sonos Amp is plugged into the wall.2. When I unplug the Sonos amp and turn off the sub amp, then turn on the sub amp and plug in the Sonos amp, humming starts after a few seconds—before the white light on the Sonos amp stops blinking.3. There is no hum When the sub is plugged into the receiver.4. When the sub RCA isn't plugged into anything, there is no hum.5. I've tried plugging both the Sonos amp and the sub into the same outlet. They're still humming.6. I've tried new high-end shielded cables from SVS. Still humming.7. I've tried on a different SVS sub. Still humming.8. I've tried a ground loop isolator. Still humming.8. I've tried plugging the Sonos amp into a different circuit 100' away from the sub outlet, but it's still humm
I cannot seem to connect my Sonos port to my existing system. It is connected and set up - and my turntable is playing music that the app is picking up via the line-in. But when I go to connect the port to another product in the system as an output, I get an error “unable to connect to system. Try again later.” All other products can group and are working normally, only the port is acting this way.
What do you all think about the Amp powering Yamaha NS-F150 speakers ? They are 88 sen and 6ohm
My system exists of a beam gen1 and sub gen 1 in the living room and 1 one in the kitchen.I wanted to connect my old cd-player or recordplayer to my system. I managed to get my hands on a second hand sonos connect gen2.I installed the connect to my system. Updated it etc.I can see a “line-IN” option in my homescreen in the S2 app under sources. When i select this Line-IN, i get another screen which shows the connect. After that nothing happens. On my test setup, met old cd-player is connected to the IN ports red and white.I tested the cd-player with a receiver to make sure there was signal coming out of the cd-player,
