Will there be voice Control using Amazon Echo and Sonos Connect:Amps?

I have an Amazon Echo Dot and a Sonos system with multiple Connect:Amps. I have read about the Amazon Echo / Sonos integration that is coming, but every article I have seen so far only says that the Amazon Echo will integrate with Sonos speakers. My Sonos based system does not use any Sonos speakers. Does anyone know if the Amazon Echo will provide voice control for a Sonos system made up of Connect:Amps without any Sonos speakers?

    The August press release stated:

    These new voice capabilities will be delivered in a software update that will work with new and previously purchased Sonos and Alexa-enabled devices . . .
