Mac Mini to Sonos

Just bought a Mac Mini, have it hooked up to my TV by a HDMI cable. Also have an Apple TV hooked up to the same TV through another HDMI input. And lastly, I've hooked up my TV direct to my Sonos Playbar. The Playbar is working great through Apple TV, but when I'm using my Mac Mini - no sound is coming from the Playbar (not from web browsing or stored music & movies from iTunes). Any suggestions?

You need to look at the audio format the Mac mini is passing via HDMI. You want it to be Dolby digital 5.1. Not plus.
