Is there a new Sonos Connect (hardware update) coming, to support Airplay 2?

Hi,

I already understand older Sonos hardware cannot support Airplay 2 via firmware update.

But is there a new hardware version of Sonos Connect coming that will support Airplay 2?

      Nobody knows. Sonos is very tight lipped about new hardware.

        Thanks. I've just joined the forum and still looking around now.

        Is this a popular request? i.e. an updated Sonos Connect supporting Airplay 2?

        Yes, it seems to be, depending on the value of the word "popular".

        That being said, there's no guaranty that they're working on such a thing.....and, as jgatie suggests, no guaranty that they are not.
