Hi. I am looking for some wisdomI have a sonos ONE in the kitchen which i really like. Recently i have done an update as there was some difficulty with the sonos app finding the speaker ( i was still able to mostly find the speaker on spotify)Since then it seems the speaker is invisible to the app and to spotify. My wifi set up is with the BT router in the lounge (other side of an old brick internal wall from the sonos speaker) and a BT wiFi Disc extender in the room above the kitchen to reach the loft office. From my reading the sonos speaker systems are disrupted by having the wifi extender with the same SSID - I have read that you cant change the name of the WiFi disc as it just repeats out the wifi signal. So it seems the option is to Buy a mesh network - £250 ishbut…I was wondering...if sonos use sonosNET can i plug a sound bar into the TV and the wifi router and then the sonos ONE in the kitchen should attach to that network and not the WIFi? This would be cheaper and i would get

Hi! I purchased an Era 100 to line-in for my Audio Technica turntable. I also bought the Sonos USB-C to RCA (3.5) adaptor. Furthermore, I bought a headphone-to-RCA 3.5 (female and male) connector piece off amazon. I tried connecting the Sonos connector to the RCA connector I bought online and the pieces fit together but they are “loose” and no music is playing through the Era 100. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have updated the app and system as well.

Hi,I have a facility with 5 Sonos Ports. each in different floor. each Port connected to dedicated Amp and speakers. All Ports reside on the same network (VLAN)the need is to be able to make the 1st Port determine the music that would be played through the rest 4 Port devices. Is that possible to do through using the Port devices only?thanks

How to reconnect sonos boost

I’ve been using Sonos devices since long and I’ve always preferred to wire them because, well, I wire everything whenever possible (less radio noise, more reliable, some rooms don’t have good wifi signal, etc). I’m saddened to discover that the new models force me to buy extra adapters (I suppose other not-Sonos adapter won’t work) just to connect the home speakers to the ethernet network. It’s actually extra annoying because Amazon don’t sell them and the Sonos store don’t deliver to freighter services (as Amazon does) so I can’t get them where I live (Dominican Republic). If you know other shops who sell the combo adapter please let me know, thanks.

How many ceiling speakers can I connect to one amp?

Hi, I have a large room (4.5m by 10m with 3m high ceilings) and I want to install in-ceiling, 8 inch Sonos speakers. I would really appreciate advice on whether two pairs would be enough, whether to go with one or two amps and how best to position them. The room will be divided into two zones front of the long side and back of the long side. One half a sitting area and one half a dining area. Thanks!

I recently purchased the in line  3.5mm headphone to usb-c adaptor so could connect my headphones to the Apple 16 iPhone. However, it does not work. The sound just plays on the phone. Have I purchased the wrong adaptor

Hi everybody,  we are conducting extensive renovations on our house and I thought having a pair of the 152mm sonos architectural speakers in the ceiling of the bathroom would be a good idea.  The issue is- although the bathroom is quite spacious with 3m high ceilings it does feature a shower and a larger bathtub. We did include an automated fan and exhaust system, but I am worried about the humidity damaging the speakers.Does anyone have experience installing these ceiling speakers in bathrooms? Is it possible or would the speakers get damaged?

Dearcan i connect Sonos Zp 100 with Sonos sub If do how does it pl

I have a Play 5 that I want to connect to my Port (via RCA cable) which is connected to a turntable as the source. Doing so I hear no output from the Play 5 speaker.  Do I need to connect an amplifier between the Port and the Play 5? I am trying to find a use for my Play 5 since it is an older model and not compatible with the newer equipment I have. The Port correctly broadcasts to my other Sonos speakers in the house. I thought I could hardwire the Play 5 and use it as well.  No?

I a great vinyl collection that I originally had connected to a Denon AVR, def tech speakers and sub, and an audio technica turntable.  It sounded very good, but I wanted to go wireless for a lot of reasons.  I gave the speakers and receiver to my daughter and replaced them with 2 Sonos ONE SL’s,  Beam, and Sub Mini.  It didn’t occur to me that they weren’t Bluetooth compatible.  Now I have all these great albums but no ability to play them since the Sonos aren’t Bluetooth compatible.  I’m open to buying a new receiver but am not sure which one to buy.  Any ideas?

I have a Home Automation Inc (HAI) Hi-Fi2, 8 zone sound system that I am interested in replacing as it is working intermittently and the manufacturer has discontinued the product.  Each zone corresponds to a room in the house with 2 speakers mounted in the ceiling and a small control panel.  All the speakers/control panels are wired and run back to the main Hi-Fi2 control box.  The main control box has numerous audio inputs allowing you to select (via the small control panel in each room) from multiple line-in sources (e.g. amplifier, iPhone, CD player, etc.) .  My questions: Is there a Sonos product that could be used to replace the HAI Hi-Fi2 box, but still use the existing speakers?  I’m assuming the Sonos App would replace the individual control panels.  Would I still have the option to connect and select from multiple line-in sources? Is this a DIY installation or do I need a professional?  (I am comfortable with computers, networks, hand/power tools and can follow instructions).A

Yesterday I was on the phone with Sonos support trying to figure out how to get the WIFI working on my Connect. It used to work? They were very patient and we tried many approaches. BTW,  I had tried these approaches before I called them hoping for something different to try.I was resigned to recycling it but my husband decided to take it to another room and try the WiFi there. The WIFI connection worked in the other room and the MAC address showed up on our router! We brought it back to our living room and placed it in a different place and it was able to connect to the WiFi! So if your Connect WiFi is not working try moving it around. Beware of interference from other devices connected to WiFi!

I have 4 Sonos ceiling speakers , one amp and one arc ultra. I have connected 4 speakers to one amp , how can I play 2 speakers separately

I just acquired a new Sony bluetooth turntable that I’d like to connect to my existing Sonos system, which consists of (2) Play:5s (Gen 2), a Play:1, a One and a Boost. What are my options?

I'd like help/support from the community. I currently have a Sonos amp system connected to two Era 300s and a Sub 3. I use this setup connected to a turntable. The sound quality is really good, and I'm very satisfied. But I have a large CD collection that my daughter wants to listen to, and I'm thinking about it in acquiring a CD player. I've been thinking about how to integrate it into the system without having to use the option to connect/disconnect the devices when using them. My best option, in my opinion, is to connect both the turntable and the CD player to a receiver. My question is whether I can connect the receiver to the Sonos amp or if it requires some other accessory.

I’m buying a project turntable through Sonos and want to confirm that it will connect through my arc soundbar

Hi all Simple question, if I connect a CD player via say an Erra 100 with the adaptor cable, will this play through all my speakers on the system or just through the connected one.TIA

I have a 5.1 receiver with a connect amp connected to listen to music through the  receivers speakers.  I have a new kitchen with 3 dual channel ceiling speakers.  I’d like to be able to listen to music through the existing 5.1 system as well as the new dual channel speakers.(x3). This might be a simple fix, but I’m not sure how to add these new speakers, as each speaker takes 2 channels for the stereo experience. (L n R x 2). Another receiver?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  McMac

I have simple setup where my Sony TV is connected to a set of Klipsch speakers as the main audio output, and I also have an Amp which is connected to the speakers. I noticed that when I listen to Spotify on the tv/speakers, the sound is much louder and clearer than if I played it directly from the app and amp. Does anyone know why? This is puzzling me since if anything I should expect better quality from the amp. TIA!

I recently bought a pair of SONOS ERA 100.I created a group for Sonos ERA 100 called “FrontERA100”I would like to know if I can include the sub on a seperate group? Is this possible when the sub is already assign to a different group called “TV Room” with a Beam and Play 1(2 rear) configured?OrI need to purchase another sub? Caused my end goal for music is just to listen ther SONOS Era 100 and Sub.

Hi, I would like to know your recommendations to clean the dust inside the sub mini. Can I use a soft cloth or something to clean carefully the speakers? They have a lot of dust in the bottom side of the speaker cones. Thanks!

Hi. Curious if folks are using conduit and, if so, what type - e.g., PVC? I’ve seen mixed feedback when searching online. Thanks!
