I have purchased over 11 speakers so I’m a bit concerned that I can’t find a quick answer.   My Play 5 starting making a static news while on or off?   I disconnected...Moved to a different room...reconnected and it’s the same issue.   While off the static news is low...while playing the static news is more pronounced.  

 

Can this be repaired?

I appreciate that you already did most of the troubleshooting steps needed, at this point, it’s best to reach out to Sonos Support to take a closer look and diagnose the unit in real-time. We don’t offer repairs, but instead, it will be helpful if you will have a recording of the sound then give us a call and work with a technician live. They have resources available for advanced troubleshooting and replacement option if needed in accordance with the replacement policy, as well as warranty and loyalty program options.
