Question

Unable to move tracks in a Sonos created Playlist - new

This phenomenon just started about a month ago. When I start playing a Sonos created playlist, in the play que, I used to be able to move tracks within the que. Now I get an error that says unable to move track. I have uninstalled and re installed the app. Was told I had too many songs saved in playlists > 65k. That was never true, but I deleted many playlists. I have < 5k songs in all playlists. I am on the beta version of the Sonos app but have been on it for over a year. Any suggestions?

An android only problem. It’s not playlists, it’s the queue, regardless of how it was populated. This started with version 27.1:

And continues to be a problem in 27.2:

You should report it to sonos support (I did). Maybe if enough people do, it will get fixed.

You should report it to sonos support (I did).

And what was their advice?

“Uninstall and reinstall the app”?
“Reboot your phone”?
“This is your WiFi”?
“Reboot your router and all your Sonos devices”?
“Your queue is too long”?

Or maybe they said
“Yes, this is known regression bug introduced in the Sonos 27.1 version due to poor QA testing. It is already reported to development and will be fixed in the next app release. We are very sorry for inconvenience.”?

Very helpful.  You are adding much to the community, you should be proud.

This has been discussed under one of the recent app release threads.…

Basically you can drag and drop a playlist entry to a different location in the queue but error:

is reported and change fails to 'take'.

Reported in the community but whether Sonos is aware and doing anything about it 🤷🏼‍♂️

I just noticed this, sorry. You shouldn’t be discussing anything about beta versions in this community forum. Even though the regular version has this problem, it goes against your NDA.
