Question

sonos Arc -playing audible blip sound-Ikea shelf speaker echo

A few issues started recently.

there is an audible blip sound, every so often.
The Arc and the IKEA bookshelf speakers and sub have always worked seamlessly together, no their is an echo for a minute until we pause the TV or wait it out.
Using Apple TV, the Arc volume stops working sometimes, we have to reconnect to Sonos.

That sure seems like, at least potentially, some sort of wifi interference , initially causing the noise, and then sometimes a full disconnect…although the volume interface between the Arc and the TV is via CEC (HDMI-ARC) and has nothing to do with the network. So, I’d do several things. First, a full and simple reset of your network. Unplug all Sonos, TV, and IKEA devices from power. While they are unplugged, reboot your router. Wait two minutes for your router to come back up, then plug in the TV first, followed by the Sonos devices, and finally the IKEA devices. Do not ‘factory reset’ any of them, they should just reconnect within a minute of being plugged back in.

Second, check the TV and the Sonos for any software/firmware updates. Apply them as necessary.

Test…which may not reveal the intermittent issue right away, but I think it will resolve it, although it is still worth reading the FAQ I linked to, in case there could be some outside influence on your network.

Finally, if this process doesn’t resolve it, I would recommend that you submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of reproducing the issue, and call Sonos Support to discuss it. Do not factory reset any units. Also, don’t post the resulting diagnostic number here.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.
