Can't connect to Play:5 gen 2's

I am unable to connect to my Play:5’s. I have restarted both my router and both Play’s to no avail; In Settings>Network>Wireless Networks then selecting my missing speaker and going through the holding the button on the back until I get flashing amber, I can’t then join the temp network  ‘SONOS’ to continue configuration, I am told I can’t connect to the network ‘SONOS’, then the process tells me it is connecting to my Play:5 but never gets anywhere - I am told that you can't exit set up right now’.

The router is a new one, supplied by my ISP. I have previously had no problems connecting to and using my Play:5’s. I have a few other Sonos products to re-connect to my network, but have not yet had the opportunity to do so.

Did your ISP assign a different SSID and/or Password to the new router. If so therein lies your problem. You need to follow the instructions in the link below. If your speakers are still in a state where they have been factory reset you’ll have to set them up as new with the new routers credentials. Also, never factory reset your Sonos unless instructed to by Sonos Tech Support.

Tell us about your new router. Often ISP routers are poor at actually routing.

Thanks. It’s a Plusnet Hub 2, which I believe is a variant of a BT one (Smarthub?). Previously, I was using a Zen hub, which was no problem.
