Any progress on Ducking issue?

I noticed I had an Alexa update on my phone and it made me hopeful of a change. So I enabled the Sonos skill and the Sonos speakers all over the house still Duck. I tried disabling a couple of rooms in the app but they still Duck! I made a room for those speakers and a different room for the Dot... nope, still Ducks other speakers. This is just crazy. Please tell me the last update fixed it but I'm just not bright enough to figure it out 🆒

My preferred speaker ducks when talking to the associated Echo Dot.

Yes, my preferred speaker is in an Alexa group with my Echo Dot and the speaker ducks fine.

    how odd.

Mine is now not ducking anywhere, Ipads with the same alexa software version, one offers preferred speaker, the other doesn't

Perhaps try logging out and back into the Alexa App, ensuring you are using the same credentials. It should hopefully refresh the Amazon devices.

I wanted to come back to this thread and let you know that today, we've announced an integration with Sonos and Alexa Groups which makes the volume ducking with Alexa on Sonos, and more, much smarter. Check it out here.

Ryan I didn’t follow this to see the update. I have stopped using Alexa because it was too disruptive but I’ll test this today. Thank you for circling back around.

To quote another user... About ducking time!

Seriously, after a year or so of having Alexa disabled b/c it caused more pain than benefit I'm happy to report this is now working correctly. Thank you!
