Unable to save location for my device

Hi,
I have a Sonos One device (my one and only device) showing as "kitchen" on the Alexa app and and I am unable to save its location. I live in Montreal, Canada. Did not have problems saving the location for the Sonos One but unable to save for the "kitchen" which is the same unit...?? Why is that. I can ask Alexa "Where am I?" and she knows exactly where I am, but yet she cannot give me the weather because she doesn't know where I am... makes no sense.
Tried many uninstall, remove device, detect device... no change every time.

Very frustrating, spent many hours trying to resolve the problem, no luck still.

Do you have an amazon.com account or an amazon.ca account? The Alexa might be linked to a .com account which messes with its ability to be Canadian. Try the Transfer your Amazon account partway down the page I linked below. Note that this may toast some Alexa skills that are not available in Canada yet!

Can you try using the web utility: https://www.amazon.com This sometimes works when the App fails.
I have the exact same issue. I have used the app and the web utility. You complete the form. Even select the suggested address with the address in their DB and it erases after clicking "save". Extremely frustrating. Clearly something is very buggy with this application.
