Brand new speaker, Alexa seems to work for everything except controlling the smart home. It just says it can’t find a device or group with that name. System is updated, and I’ve tried disconnecting and reconnecting Alexa from the speaker.

Thanks!

Hello @Acsorrell, welcome to the Sonos Community!

I am sorry to hear you are having issues controlling your smart home via the Amazon Alexa on your new Sonos Era 100.

Please have a look at our Support Article Alexa commands not working on Sonos.

The first troubleshooting step you can take is simply removing and then re-adding the Sonos Skill in the Amazon Alexa App.

Re-enable the Sonos skill

Open the Alexa app and select the More menu from the bottom toolbar. Go to Skills & Games > Sonos > Disable Skill. Once disabled, choose Enable Skill.

If you are still experiencing this issue, try following the “Advanced Fixes” section in the above Support Article and if that still doesn’t resolve it, feel free to contact our Support Team for live troubleshooting.

I hope this helps.
