+24I see now the site has been completely revamped. This might be why it was briefly offline.
+24Interesting, the site is a lot prettier but the content still lacks basics like a revision history, lots of dead links once you login to the portal, and a bunch of SMAPI information has been deleted. The cloud API appears unchanged so is still not suitable to write a full-featured app.
I think that website designers are all reading the same texts (or reference websites, probably books are not popular) and using the same metrics. Lots of big pretty pictures and endless scrolling get the job referral and promotion. “Time on site” seems to be an important metric and endless scrolling, plus poor navigation options inflates time on site.
