I'm taking my pair of Play:1s to the cottage next weekend. I'll have 4G / LTE access there. Can I set up a SonosNet network and connect my Android phone to it and be able to stream using my phones 4G / LTE connection?

The only way you can do this is if you take your router with you. We cannot guarantee your success in using a 4G connection to run Sonos as quite often, this can be hit or miss. We do not recognise it as a supported setup.

What about using phone as wifi hot-spot? It's possible?

If you sue the phone as a hotspot, you will need another mobile device to control Sonos. You cannot use a single phone as both hotspot and controller.

So why do I have the option “mobile data” in my iPhone Sonos settings?
