Sonos should create groups or scenarios for sound levels
My tv volume is to be lowered at 10pm etc

Not sure if the mobile apps can do scheduling, never used them myself, but they might. With an API you need to do the scheduling yourself (using cron or any other kind of system). The API do have a "preset" function which is basically what you want, but you need to control triggers yourself. You can probably use IFTTT or Stringify or the likes for that if you find that easier. For easy IFTTT integration, see http://www.bronos.net
