I am trying to set up two Sonos ports on my work network via Cat6.

Tried setting up with Sonos app on phone, the app can see the device (MAC) listed but when it goes to add to new system it times out and says no new deices can be found. Tried different ports on our switch.

I factory reset the devices. Tried 3 different phones (iphone and Android). Im using the right (newer) Sonos app.

Sonos support was little help after 2 hrs on the phone.

Our network people say that the firewall is not blocking any of the Sonos ports and here are no outbound access filters in place. We have LAN to WAN without any inspection or filtering in place. Im not sure where to look on my network. The older system we had (not Sonos) was working well until the service went out of biz and that didnt require any advanced setup. My snag is setting up through this app!

Any advice?

Does you have a managed switch in your network? If so you will need to configure STP/RSTP to work with Sonos.
