How do I fix my accounts?

I had long ago set up two Sonos households with the same email, and they have the same account number. (They are located on different physical networks). This used to be allowed, but causes problems these days (eg Alexa).

Today, it is causing me problems, as I moved my Roam and Move to one of these households (from another household) and now they refuse to Register (due to the upnpovertls quarantine problem). Additionally, the Privacy & Security settings show wrong, and do not let me change Authorization, UPNP and Guest options.

I tried changing the email address from my phone, thinking this might “split” my account, but it has made zero difference to the app, and the devices still refuse to register.

Can anyone here help me? I’m not confident that regular support will even understand if I call in, this is hardly a mainline scenario. I need a “fresh” Sonos account created and associated with my existing devices/household on a fresh email. I do not want to factory reset them all and start over.

Finally got my Move to register, by factory resetting it again but then using the Android app, so no need to mess with my accounts. Case closed.

By different physical network… do you mean that you didn’t use the same SSID and Password at both locations.

There's no way around it.

No, not at all, I started the second household by taking a device from the original household, resetting it and connecting it to the entirely different network at my vacation home. At that time Sonos allowed the same email on different Households.

Since then the second one has been updated to S2 and a ton of devices added to it. The original remains as a simple S1 system.

Same Sonos account ids, but different household ids.

If you have to factory reset I suggest using the same SSID and Password at both locations.

Hell no, not for these two networks, for various reasons.

I did manage to Register the Roam just now, used the Android app (which is how I “fixed” this last time). If I can just get the Move registered, I won’t care about fixing my accounts.
